United Press for Development Network (UPDN) is a registered National Youth Organization under the National Youth Authority (NYA) of the Republic of Ghana with registration number NYA/EAR/N/YED/0326.
In UPDN media production, outreach and interpersonal communication work, we aim to contribute to the modifications in knowledge, attitudes, social norms and behaviours that help to develop governance, health, welfare and resilience.
Our capacity strengthening interventions most often target media persons, media and communication organizations to deliver sustainable improvements in the editorial, production and technical quality of their output. We also work with partner NGOs, civil society groups, government agencies and frontline service delivery staff to support their ability to communicate more effectively with the public, where this will contribute to governance, health and resilience outcomes.
Also, we provide news consumers, sports and music lovers with timely but comprehensive and credible information via our News porter www.updghana.com and various social media handles.
Youth entrepreneurial development and empowerment, mentorship, capacity building, financial literacy, communication/public speaking orientation and training are significant objectives of the network.
